What is your favorite thing about working at Sock Club?
Taylor: I love the genuine belief everyone has in Sock Club and the products and services we offer. You can feel the authenticity here every day!
What's it like working in your role at Sock Club for someone who wouldn't know at all?
Taylor: It's more technical than its stereotypes make it seem! Design is the epitome of creative problem-solving. In layman terms, it is simultaneously right-brained and left-brained.
Who or what inspires you?
Taylor: I am inspired by music, books, other artists, and stop-motion animation.
What’s the last book you read? Why/what did you learn?
Taylor: I recently read The Memory Police by Yoka Ogawa -- it made me think about the connection and separation between our core selves and our memories. Who are we outside of our memories? This book made me thankful for the journals I've kept all my life and all the memories I would have lost without them.
What’s the first concert you ever attended?
Taylor: Hoodie Allen opening for Wiz Khalifa opening for Fall Out Boy.
What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
Taylor: Sweden!
When people talk about the impact you make at Sock Club, what do you want them to say?
Taylor: I want them to think of me as kind, safe, and willing to go the extra length to bring a client's vision to life:)
What initiative on another team are you most interested in learning about currently?
Taylor: Trade shows and face-to-face sales! One of my favorite things about managing an art gallery was selling art at Austin City Limits because of the direct client interactions, so I would be very interested in learning more about that side of the Sock Club business.
