We’re thrilled to welcome Delaney Joyce as the newest Product Manager (New Products) at Sock Club. Delaney brings a wealth of expertise with her background in Textile Engineering and a focus on Product Development.
Prior to joining us, she honed her skills as a Textile Engineer, specializing in medical textiles, and then advanced to the role of Product Development and Production Manager at a dynamic athletic wear startup. Her diverse experience and deep knowledge in textile innovation will be invaluable as she drives our new product initiatives forward.
What is your favorite thing about working at Sock Club?
Delaney: What I love most about working at Sock Club is the people! Everyone is super kind and smart, which makes for a really motivating environment.
What's it like working in your role at Sock Club for someone who wouldn't know at all?
Delaney: Being a Product Manager means wearing a lot of hats, but it's a fun challenge! I love solving problems and being innovative every day, especially in the field of textiles, which I'm really passionate about. It's rewarding to bring my love for textiles into my work and see ideas come to life.
Who or what inspires you?
Delaney: My family! They're the coolest.
What’s the last book you read? Why/what did you learn?
Delaney: The last book I read was actually a reread: The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. I love this book because it's short but very impactful. It's popular for a reason!
What’s the first concert you ever attended?
Delaney: The Cheetah Girls
What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
Delaney: Probably Portugal or Croatia!
What is something people might not know about you?
Delaney: In my last year of college, I worked on a senior design project for Hanes and Champion. My innovation turned out well and was picked up by the Champion innovation team. This fall, they’re launching it as the Champion Weighted Hoodie!
When people talk about the impact you make at Sock Club, what do you want them to say?
Delaney: I hope people would say that I'm a positive and hardworking person who makes a meaningful impact at Sock Club.
What about your new position or Sock Club in general drew you to apply for the job?
Delaney: I was drawn to this role at Sock Club because I’m excited about the chance to dive into new soft goods projects and collaborate with such a dynamic group.
What initiative on another team are you most interested in learning about currently?
Delaney: I am so impressed with our design team! It's amazing to see their expertise and creativity come to life through our products. I am definitely interested in learning more about their work.
