The TeamFish Cycling Kit including custom cycling socks from Sock Club and a blue custom cycling uniform

TeamFish was formed in 2013. They participate in long distance cycling rides to raise money for JDRF, the leading non-profit involved in research to improve the lives and outcomes of people with Type One Diabetes (T1D). Over the years, they have participated in a number of rides and raised nearly a million dollars for JDRF and other charities.

The Team started as just Matt Fischer and his wife, Linda. Matt was diagnosed with T1D in 1984. Since the team began, a number of friends and family members have joined with them in participating and fundraising.

TeamFish has, however, seen some challenges in accomplishing their fundraising goals. In today’s economy, people are more hesitant to donate money, especially when they are not seeing something in return.

Matt Fischer turned to branded swag to help raise money for JDRF and support the team. When Fischer found out about Sock Club through an internet search, and saw the low minimum order quantity, he wanted to give Sock Club custom socks a try.

TeamFish wears the socks with their cycling kits and gives them out to donors. Says Fischer, “we've ordered a bunch of stuff before but never socks. They turned out great and everyone loves them. Will definitely order again. Everything was fantastic. Quick turnaround time, great designs, quality products.”

When asked what he would tell other customers that are considering buying branded performance socks as a fundraiser and team uniform item, he said simply, “Do it, people will love them.”
