Teak & Twine was started by Torrance Hart, Founder & CEO, back in 2015, and her focus was on creating welcome gifts for weddings, so their designs were very bridal. But when they got their first corporate gifting inquiry just six months after launching, they really expanded our vision for the types of gifts they could make. 

Now, they curate all different kinds of gifts with all different kinds of themes and designs, mostly for corporate projects. 

What sets Teak & Twine apart from other corporate gifting companies is that they’ve kept the high bar for customer service essential for working on weddings, and applied that to working with their awesome corporate partners.

The challenges with corporate gifting, although slightly different from weddings, are mostly the same. Luckily, the Sock Club team was able to alleviate some of those pain points.

“Our corporate clients really love branded wearables, but wearables are sometimes challenging because of sizing,” says Teak & Twine Director of Marketing, Lisa Cox. “The nice thing about socks is that they’re one size fits most. So the client gets something fully branded and wearable, but we don’t have to manage all the logistics of matching sizes to many people in a group. Socks just hit that sweet spot.”

But with all the different branded socks available in the promotional products market, it’s often hard to tell if they will meet the standard of quality that the Teak & Twine team sets for their clients’ projects.

“You don't always know the quality that you're getting with promotional products,” says Cox.  “Something might look great on the screen, but you never know until you see a sample. But with Sock Club, we know the quality is fantastic, so we know our corporate customers will be happy.”

The world of corporate gifting is also extremely fast-paced. That is one of the reasons that we at Sock Club try to deliver the quickest turnaround time on every part of our process, from design to delivery.

“Sock Club has a design-your-own sock tool, which makes it super easy to mock up a branded design. Then I can pitch the design in a proposal to a client. This tool makes it easy to share the products with my clients and have them picture the final result,” says Cox.

Since the Teak & Twine team’s philosophy is centered around a completely custom and tailored gifting experience, our customizable header cards are also a great fit for their projects. 

“I really love that Sock Club offers custom top packaging, like the top wrapper of the socks. It gives me a lot of flexibility with our custom corporate orders, and the clients love the option to have branding throughout the whole product. It’s really cool,” explains Cox.

Although the term “corporate gifting” might not sound sexy, the Teak & Twine makes sure that they make the process as fun and memorable as possible. And Sock Club is more than happy to help!

Says Cox, “One project we worked on was movie night themed employee gifts. The client wanted one branded item included in the gift, and the socks were a really fun, cozy addition to the movie night theme. So often, people assume corporate gifts have to be boring, and that’s just not true! This movie night gift box was so fun, and including branded products in a cohesive way with the rest of the gift makes all the difference.”

Since Teak & Twine’s business is built upon referrals and repeat business, client happiness is their ultimate metric of success.

“One client loved the socks so much that when we talked about new gifts to send to the same group of people the following year, they sent socks again! They just thought that they were so memorable and so fantastic,” Cox told us.
